A Rare Hopi Polacca Polychrome Utilitarian Dough Bowl circa 1880. Wonderful Rim Flare! Distinctive late 1800's Hopi First Mesa Form with complex Zuni Designs. Rainbirds with Elongated Beaks and fine line rain imagery. Bold Storm Clouds. Condition is Original and is unrestored. It does have a small rim chip and other expected wear from a 140+ year old Bowl. The World Famous Marie Martinez of San Ildefonso Pueblo, New Mexico worked with Santana from 1943 until 1956. This Jar was made between 1943 and 1953 when she signed Marie (beginning in 1954 she signed Maria) and Santana. Marie created the Jar and Santana Painted it. This Jar has a Gun Metal appearance. A 75+ or -- year old Jar does have some scuffs. It is on our Website for additional pictures.

Being 90+ years or older, this Navajo 3rd Phase Style Chiefs Blanket-Rug is in very good condition. The 3rd Phase Chiefs Blanket Pattern is one of the most beloved Navajo Weaving Patterns. Classic 3rd Phase Blankets were so high in demand by tourists, that Navajo Weavers continued to weave the style. This Blanket-Rug could be hung for the Art that it is or placed on the floor. It has some issues that can be seen very well on our Website.
