Traditionally hand built with native clay, stone burnished and sgrafitto carved.
The Avanyu encircles the 11 1/2" diameter plate, 2 1/4" deep.
Excellent provenance for the buyer.

Traditionally hand built with native clay and slips, organic paints, pit fired.
Standing 6" tall by 8" diameter, decorated above and below the shoulder.
Frets, swirls and 4 pointed stars, soft white slip, brown bee plant and orange slip.
Very good condition, no chips or cracks, minor paint scuff as shown on bottom.
From the 1990s, the height of her abilities!

Miniature pottery seed jar with Antelope by Santa Clara Pueblo artist Joseph Lonewolf.
Native clay is formed into a hollow ball, stone burnished red slip is lightly carved then fired.
This small pottery is 1 1/4" tall by 1 1/2" wide, signed and coded.
Mimbres style antelope is framed with feather design.
This little pottery gem is one of nine that are featured in the book,
"The Pottery Jewels of Joseph Lonewolf", published in 1974.
