This Beautiful Weaving is by Mary Begay, it includes 76-Colorful Birds, a Corn Plant Growing in a Basket and other Vegetation. It was the Blue-Ribbon Winner, First Place, at The Original American Indian & Western Relic Show in Pasadena, California in October of 1987. The Blue Ribbon accompanies this Large 74" x 56" weaving.

This is a True One-of-a-Kind Weaving that was done by Daisy Slocum. This Circa 1950 Weaving features Daisy's Name on the Top of this amazing weaving, along with Two Eagles, Feathers, and the area of the Rug, Teec Nas Pos (Teec Nos Pos). A unknown number 300 is also woven into this Masterpiece. The Center "Eye" in this Piece draws you in like a Black Hole. This is truly a Work by a Master Artist.

It is very unfortunate that the Previous Owner of this Beautiful Navajo Moki Weaving lost the information on the Weaver.

These later Weavings done in the 3rd Phase Chief's Blanket Style are beginning to be called 4th Phase Blankets. This is a very clean nice piece.
